THE ATHENS CONCERT HALL
WELCOMES THE 21st CENTURY CYCLE

 

The Athens Concert Hall is welcoming the 21ST century by commissioning the renowned American director Robert Wilson to prepare a large-scale musical spectacle inspired by the myth of Prometheus and based on the music of Iannis Xenakis. The two contemporary artists' confrontation with ancient Greek myth will receive its world premiere at the Friends of Music Hall in January 2001; the performance will then tour some of Europe's major veneues.
